There are 5 terrain parks open today. The Cruiser  Park features an 8m box, 3 beginner jumps in a  row, 3m flat bar and a 6m hybrid. The advanced park at Antons has two 40 foot jumps in a row. High  Noon features 2 jumps in a row, a 20 and 30 footer,  8m picnic table, 6m down bar, 9m down rail, 9m banked C-box, 3m stall pipe, 9m down box. High Noon Pocket Park has a 9m box and a 12m box. Wombat World has a 3m box and 3m wide box for mini-freestylers.

Charles Beckinsale and his handy team of shovel pigs have been working hard already, good early snowfalls and a new fleet of jibs has had the boys working overtime. The high noon park is taking great shape and shouldnt be long before we see some jumps up antons .

The dress code was retro ski gear, which made for some great viewing. Damon Hayler and Editor Nugg were definatley highlights in that department.

This event has been on the calendar since 1993, and still manages to get bigger and better every year. 2005 saw the comp head to the Olympic Stadium of Munich, Germany. The setup was amazing , and with riders such as Hampus Mosesson, Mathieu Crepel and Jussi Oksanen you know some sick shit went down.

Clint Allan takes us through how to do a backflip and we head all the way Davos , Switzerland for the Oneil Evoulutiuon. This event showcased the worlds best riders in the u- dicth and sorted out the man from the boys when they hit the massive 10m quater pipe underlights on News years eve.

the last week, we take a look at a little place called Stumpland and then head out to Park City , Utah for the Roxy Chicken Jam. The event where Torah Bright was crowned with the  TTR world title.

FALLS CREEK, Vic Australia

24/07/07-Drovers Dream Terrain Park contains small to medeam size features:
3 jumps in a row that range around 10 - 15 feet, followed by 3 small boxs that are 6ft flat, 9ft wide flat down to a 6ft wide flat box.

Ruined CastleTerrain Park is now starting to resemble the glory days of when snow was plentiful and the features were gnarly. . At the moment jump and rail features range from medium to large in size, with a focus this year on jumping. Our regular side hosts a line of three, 20+ foot jumps followed by "The Bus". A line of rails and boxes rangeing from the street rail, a 'hero' box and a gas tank jib round out the mix. The advanced line boasts two perfectly built 40 footers....for the time being!

Well, its peak season in oz. Peak.... it looks like October.
Low tide seems to be the trend for 2006, with snowfalls at record lows. Its the season for jibbing.
The crew at DSM took to streets last night , Ryan Tiene , Russell Holt and Abi Bright steped up for the first time in 06.
Generators, lights and concrete, were in full affect. Tiene bagged his first shot for the season, nollie frontside lip slide 270 out , while Holty was bagging a bunch of tricks,  Abish was looking good before she took a dive into the concrete hip first. Which eneded her night rather quickly.
All in all a good start to whats to come if the snow dont. Stayed tuned for some video teasers over the next month.

Holey Moley Snow Camps NZ

After Holey Moley Snowboard Camp ventured to France for the Christmas break, The coaches gear up for the September session in Snowpark New Zealand.

Holey Moley Snowcamps is back on back to Snow Park NZ, for its third year of operation. The camp will be held from September 20th to October 3rd. The camp gives you the opportunity to to live and shred with your favorite Australian and kiwi pros.Confirmed coaches are Russell Holt , Nick Gregory and Will Jackaways.  This was set to be round to the Melbourne event that had taken place 3 weeks prior. The weather loomed to be a shocka, but the rain came and went only during the the setup phase

This event was held early June of 2006 down by the beach at Maroubra, Sydney. While Evermore and End of Fashion belted out there hits, 30 jibbers were battling it out for $2500. Starring Max Cookes, Ryan Tiene, Charles Beckinsale, Chris Boadle and many more.

Milo Snow Slam Melbourne

Event

Channel V and Milo got together to put on this event under the roof at Victoria Market. The in run was high in the pigeon filled rafters, bird flu galore. If you got past the pigeons you found a the standard ledge rail ledge setup. The crowd was large, due to the fact that the Veronicas were blasting out their hits and shaking their booty for the live tv thing that the whole shabang was put on for.

Olympics Torino Italy 2006

Event

After 3-years of preparing Australia sent 9 snowboarders to Torino, which was the biggest team of the aussie camp. They consisted of Mitch Allan, Torah Bright, Andrew Burton, Holly Crawford, Ben Mates, Emily Thomas, Damon Hayler, Emanuel Oppliger and Johanna Shaw.

Opening Weekend

News

The 2006 season, started on a strong note over the weekend.
With 30cm falling a week prior to the weekend, followed by a cold week of snowmaking, Things were looking good for the queens birthday weekend.
4pm Saturday the 10th and the clouds rolled in, Yeh hah another 30cm fell in Thredbo over night and into the Sunday morning. Snow levels were down to 1400m , things were looking just like winter.

Come Monday, I was lined up for first lifts on a crispy cold blue day in Thredbo's Village. 5mins later I was pointing some chicken and carving up a storm on the mid season like conditions. Nick G, Saph Farrell, Gus Stleon, Woodie were there with bells on. High noon, leg burners and Merrits with a lot more to come.

Fusion Slopestyle:
     We've added a new step down table to give us a total of four jumps.  (1)   35 footer, (1)   30 foot step-up,   (1)    45 footer and (1)    55 footer.  There are also (4) boxes and (1) 5m down rail.
Leichardt:
     There is a triple line of 30 - 35 foot step down tables followed by a 30 foot hip jump.  There are also 2 boxes and 2 rails.
columbia fun park at mt. piper:
      This is a mini boardercross course with (4) rollers (2) berms and (2) 20 foot jumps.
PSP park at Blue Cow:
      Is under construction and set to open soon.
PSP Superpipe
      We started building the pipe on monday and are making quick progress due to the (5) straight days of round the clock snowmaking in the pipe site.

The set up consisted of a 3 story in run , plenty of set up to a flat down ledge ( with side grinders ) , a down rail and down flat down ledge. Stylewars 2005

Stylewars 05 was the first stop on the world snowboard tour. ( TTR ).
Who would of guessed that an Australian Resort was capable of holding such an event. But Falls Creek Vic, have made a huge commitment to Australian Snowboarding over the last few years and even with the dismal amount of snow to work with, they pulled off yet another successful week
